Kailey Said is a current PhD student in the Drug Discovery and Experimental Therapeutics Program. She joined Dr. McLendon's Lab in the spring semester of 2024 and have been working on molecular cloning and tissue culture experiments with a primary focus on RNA isolation and sequencing to characterize the genetic regulatory mechanisms of cells in response to stress.

Outside of lab, she enjoys running, swimming, taking care of plants and loves to try new baking recipes.
